The role

Centre 56 is a charity supporting families who have experienced abuse or are in crisis. This is an exciting time to join the team who have ambitions of growth and expanding services to families in need. You will be integral to bringing plans for the future of Centre 56 to life, sharing the story of Centre 56 with supporters across the city.

The purpose of this role is to increase the provision of funding streams and nurture positive relationships with targeted funders to enable Centre 56 to develop new and existing projects and build the charity profile.

As the sole fundraising specialist you will be responsible for raising funds from grants/trusts, community fundraising, and developing other key income streams from major donors, regular giving and corporate. You will work collaboratively with our small but ambitious team meeting challenging targets and providing high quality reporting for internal and external audiences. 

The right fit

  • You’ll have experience of raising charitable funds in the region of £100k per annum or above.
  • You’ll have experience and knowledge of grant/trust applications.
  • You’ll have fantastic communication skills and experience of a wide range of communication methods including press and social media.
  • You’ll have the ability to plan and manage own time and workload.
  • You’ll have the ability to set and work to goals and targets.
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
